At Arizona Christian University, professors strive to make their courses both rigorous and engaging – and students love the results!

Dr. Linnea Lyding and Laurie Johnson of ACU’s Education Department have trained the ACU faculty in the art of pairing high quality content with active and collaborative strategies. As a result, the typical classroom experience at ACU is anything but ordinary. These professors not only know their content but are exciting teachers as well.

Always interested in learning and sharing new ideas, Dr. Lyding and Mrs. Johnson recently were selected from over 400 applicants to present at The Teaching Professor conference on May 30th in Atlanta, Georgia.  The conference is entitled “Educate, Engage, and Inspire.”

Dr. Lyding and Mrs. Johnson look forward to carrying the name of Arizona Christian University across the country and hope to bring back even more innovative strategies for the professors at ACU.
