Sally Barton, Arizona Shine Station Manager and Vice President of Media for Arizona Christian University, announced today that Fred Young has been named Arizona Shine Program Director.  Young brings to Arizona Shine 24 years of experience in broadcasting, and has been with Spirit FM, a network of eleven Christian stations in Camdenton, Missouri, for the past nine years.

“With proficiencies in radio production, programming and promotions, Fred Young will be a vital addition to our team,” said Barton. “Every step of the way God has provided as we are steadfast in glorifying Him through Christ-centered programming; we look forward to utilizing Young’s extensive expertise.”  In addition to his duties as Afternoon Show Host/Assistant in Programming/Music, Young has been working to launch Spirit-FM’s internet radio station, The Pulse Channel, which will be available via full-power broadcast signal in late July.

“I am thrilled to see what God has in store for us as we step into this new season with Arizona Shine,” said Young. “I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to join such a talented and dedicated staff, all motivated and pulling in the same direction to bring the Arizona Shine community into a deeper knowledge of and relationship with Christ!”

Young and his wife Julie are parents of daughter Ashleigh, son Logan, and daughter Keira. The family will make their home in the Prescott area.

It is the vision of Arizona Shine to communicate Biblical Truth that inspires people to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus; to strengthen and encourage believers in their faith, and to introduce people to Jesus through Christ-centered media.
