After an extensive national search, Arizona Christian University is pleased to announce that Shawn Boskie has been chosen to serve as Vice President for Institutional Advancement, effective immediately. He will be responsible for all aspects of fundraising for the University.

This continues ACU’s move toward hiring quality and experienced professionals to continue its transition from a small Bible College to the state’s only private, accredited, non-profit Christian liberal arts university.

“Shawn Boskie joins our University with more than 10 years of professional fundraising experience and a broad background in major gifts, foundations, planned giving, events, and volunteer engagement,” said ACU President Len Munsil.  “We expect Shawn will be exactly what this institution needs to further our efforts to provide a first-class education to students who want to integrate their Christian faith with their future careers.”

Boskie’s unique background includes a 15-year professional baseball career with the Chicago Cubs, California Angels, Baltimore Orioles, and others.  Following his experience on the field, Boskie joined Alliance Defending Freedom as Director of Development for the Midwest region.  For the past nine years he has served as Vice President of Development, assembling the team responsible for more than $150 million in annual donations for the past eight years.  Boskie successfully led a $14 million capital campaign as well as a securing a major gift of $9 million.

“I am honored and very excited to lead ACU’s Advancement efforts,” Boskie said. “Today’s major tax-payer funded colleges and universities are not neutral in the culture war.  Many of these 19 million plus students are too often being indoctrinated in a world-view that is diametrically opposed to Christian principles.  The vision of ACU to train young men and women to find their God-given calling and then equip them to transform the culture with truth inspires me. I hope to bring that optimism to our donors, alumni, parents, and students in Arizona and around the nation.”

Boskie holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential as well as a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. He is active in the leadership of his church, Scottsdale Bible Church, where he currently serves as an elder.  Shawn resides in Scottsdale with his wife Pam and their three children Brad, Anna, and Lauren.
