The campus of Arizona Christian University is located in the scenic Paradise Valley area twelve miles north of downtown Phoenix. The setting is a valley surrounded by picturesque mountains in the midst of the distinctive semi-arid environment of Arizona.
Phoenix, the capital of Arizona, has an estimated population of over 1,500,000 making it the fifth largest city in the United States, as well as the largest state capital. The Phoenix metropolitan area, also known as the Valley of the Sun, is a rapidly growing metropolis of over four million people and is the center of influence for a vast area of the Southwest.
The climate in Phoenix ranges from an average maximum temperature of 65.9° in January to 106° in July. We enjoy over 200 days a year with a clear blue sky with only 7.7 inches of annual rain.
Our beautiful climate and location encourage visits to a multitude of outstanding tourist attractions such as the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Sedona, Roosevelt Dam, Lakes Havasu, Mead, and Powell, the Petrified Forest, Montezuma’s Castle, and London Bridge. Many others are in easy driving range. The winter resort areas of Phoenix, Tucson, and Mesa, and the opportunity to go “south of the border” into Mexico, add further interest.
