Below is an alphabetical listing of databases. Search these for eBooks, videos, and articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers. Some individual journal titles are also listed. Arizona residents can access additional databases through the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records.
A leading, multidisciplinary database covering over 13,800 journals, including more than 12,200 peer-reviewed journals — 4,000 of which are in full text — along with 60,000 videos from the Associated Press from 1930 to the present on various topics, events, and famous people.
Credo is an easy-to-use tool for starting research. Gather background information on your topic from hundreds of full-text general and subject-specific reference titles, as well as 500,000+ images and audio files and over 1,000 videos.
EBSCO’s eBook Academic Collection contains over 150,000 eBooks from major academic publishers on a wide range of subjects.
EBSCO’s eBooks database houses about 20,000 eBooks owned by the ACU Library. These eBooks are also available through the library’s online catalog.
This peer-reviewed journal is devoted exclusively to the historical study of political ideas and associated methodological problems. It can be browsed or searched from Ingenta Connect (full text Feb. 1991 to present) or from the Political Science Complete database (some linked full text Feb. 1991 to present).
Journal of Markets & Morality is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion & Liberty. The journal promotes intellectual exploration of the relationship between economics and morality from both social science and theological perspectives. JSTOR is a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources. Search JSTOR for past issues of important journals. The ACU Library subscribes to the following full-text JSTOR collections: Arts & Sciences I, Arts & Sciences II, and Religion & Theology.
This subject-specific database provides more than 520 journals in full text and indexing and abstracts for over 2,900 titles (including top-ranked scholarly journals), many of which are unique to the database. It also features over 340 full-text reference books and monographs, and over 36,000 full-text conference papers.
