As a recent graduate of Arizona Christian University and being an international coming from Brazil. I am very fortunate to work in such of great environment, where I spent the last 2 years of my school and soccer career. A place where you can definitely lead you to the right direction, thinking as a future parent, that is what I would seek for my children. I remember how exciting, yet intimidating the college search process can be. It is a huge time in a student’s life and I am so privileged to be a part of it. What I love about Arizona Christian University is that as a university, our focus is on preparing students to influence culture with the truth. ACU is unique in that professors not only care about the academic success of students, but they also care about the individual as a person. They are not just another face in the classroom. Faculty and professors foster a close knit community that provides support and love to all students. Often time’s faculty members and professors become mentors to their students and create a long lasting and personal relationship of mutual respect and motivation. They really help student grow into young adults, and I am definitely talking from experience. ACU provides the perfect atmosphere for students to grow in their faith, build lasting relationships, and get a Bible-centered education.

It is an honor to work for a university which is involved in refining and challenging students to grow in their specific callings. The vision of this school is lived out daily, as faculty leads students to grow deeper in their walk. Students encourage one another as well, which is evident as you spend time on campus! As a recent ACU alumni and former soccer player, I can personally testify to the impact this school and the community has had on my college experience and my future. Transferring from a community college to ACU, I understand the time and energy spent on finding a school and getting started. My commitment as a counselor is to ensure the process runs smoothly and quickly. I am excited to help others find their calling at Arizona Christian University just like I was able to do.
Vice President of Enrollment
It is great to be back in Arizona! I have lived in a number of different places throughout my life, but Arizona has always been “home.” I graduated from Phoenix Christian High School in 1976 and headed off to Dordt College in Iowa, graduating in 1981 with degrees in Biology and Spanish. After graduation, I worked in admissions for Dordt traveling all over the United States and Canada for six years promoting the school. I moved back to Arizona with my new wife, Linda, and worked in the garbage industry for nine years including owning and operating my own business (West Valley Waste Service) for seven of those years. During that time my four children (three sons and a daughter) were born. In 1996, I sold the business and returned to admissions work at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois, as Dean of Admissions. I also served on the Administrative Council, and later served as Vice President of Admissions and Marketing and Vice President of Admissions and Advancement. God blessed our work at Trinity, and we were able to grow from a college with enrollment of around 600 to well over 1,200. In late 2013, I heard from a friend that Arizona Christian University was looking for a VP of Enrollment. Linda and I always hoped to return to the little slice of heaven called Arizona, so I decided to pursue the opportunity. In January of 2014, I started work at ACU. I am passionate about Christian higher education in general and what I see God doing at this school specifically. I’m eager to see how God will bless us in the coming years and will work hard to promote the growth of this great university.
