Scholarships
All Arizona Christian University Scholarships require students to be enrolled full time and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA (unless otherwise noted).
Merit Scholarships for First-time Freshman
President’s Scholarship (Full Tuition)
Requirements: Minimum 3.85 GPA (non-weighted) AND ACT 30 composite score or SAT 1340 combined math/verbal score. Available to first-time freshman students ONLY. Renewal: 3.7 cumulative GPA

Pierson Missionary Leaders’ Scholarship ($10,000)
Requirements: Minimum 3.75 GPA (non-weighted) and/or top 15% of graduating class, and/or ACT 25 composite score or SAT 1130 combined math/verbal score
*must meet at least two of the above requirements. Home school students must meet GPA and ACT/SAT requirements. Renewal: 3.5 cumulative GPA
Provost's Scholarship ($6,000)
Requirements: Minimum 3.5 GPA (non-weighted) and/or ACT 23 composite score or SAT 1050 combined math/verbal
Renewal: 3.0 cumulative GPA
Dean’s Scholarship ($4,000)
Requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA (non-weighted) and/or ACT 21 composite score or SAT 980 combined math/verbal
Renewal: 2.75 cumulative GPA
Merit Scholarships for Transfer Students
Transfer Honor Scholarship ($6,000)
Requirements: Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA with 24 transfer hours
Renewal: 3.5 cumulative GPA
Transfer Excellence Scholarship ($4,000)
Requirements: Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA with 24 transfer hours
Renewal: 3.0 cumulative GPA
Faith & Service Scholarships
Servant Leaders’ Scholarship (Full Tuition)
Requirements: Minimum 3.75 GPA (non-weighted) AND ACT 25 composite score or SAT 1130 combined math/verbal score. Available to first-time freshman students ONLY. Renewal: 3.5 cumulative GPA

Christian High School Graduate Scholarship ($2,500)
Requirements: Graduate from Christian High School. Top 50% of graduating class OR minimum 3.0 GPA OR minimum ACT 21 composite or SAT 980 combined math/verbal score. Available to first-time freshman students ONLY.
Renewal: 3.0 cumulative GPA
*must meet at least one of the above requirements.
Micah 6:8 Service Scholarship ($2,000)
Requirements: Minimum 2.5 GPA (cumulative). Separate application and essay required. Preference is given to students with community service and leadership experience. Application available in late spring.

Christian Workers’ Dependent Scholarship ($2,000)
For dependent children of active pastors, church staff, missionaries, Christian school employee, and other full time ministry roles. A confirmation letter from employer confirming full time employment required.
Church Matching (up to $2,000)
Must receive financial sponsorship from a church. ACU will match up to $500 of support per semester. Church Matching Application required. Sponsorship check should be payable to Arizona Christian University and attached to application. If sponsoring for both Fall and Spring semesters, checks should be written separately for each semester (submitted in August and January).
Alumni Dependent Scholarship ($2,000)
For dependent children of graduated alumni of ACU. Student should mark “alumni” on Financial Aid application or talk with their admission advisor.
Adult Learner Ministry Grant ($175 per credit hour)
For students at least 23 years of age who are preparing for full-time church ministry. May only attend part time (up to 9 credit hours). Letter from Church/Ministry confirming employment required.
Heart & Seoul Gospel Ministries Scholarship ($3,000)
Minimum 3.0 GPA. Desire to work in Korean or third world missions. Separate application and interview required. Must reapply each year. Application deadline: April 1, 2012.
AWANA Scholarship Citation Award ($3,000)
Requirements: Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Verification letter from AWANA headquarters or local church required.
AWANA Scholarship Meritorious Award ($2,000)
Requirements: Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Verification letter from AWANA headquarters or local church required.
Other Scholarships
Music Scholarships (varies)
These audition-based annual scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional music talent. Vocal and instrumental scholarships are available and awarded on an audition-basis only. Contact the Music Department for complete details.
Athletic Scholarships (varies)
These tryout-based annual scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional athletic talent. Scholarships are determined by the Athletic Department. Contact the Athletic Department for complete details.
Multi-Ethnic & Minority Scholarship ($1,000)
This stackable and renewable scholarship is based on demonstrated financial need and is renewable with satisfactory academic progress.
Multiple Student Scholarship ($2,000)
This stackable and renewable scholarship is available when two or more immediate family members are enrolled concurrently at Arizona Christian University. Applies to dependent siblings OR independent married couples.
ACU Grant (varies)
Additional scholarships are available to students based on demonstrated financial need. A separate application is required for these scholarships. Application available late Spring.
ACU Grants are made possible by donations from friends of ACU including, but not limited to: Davidson, Dowell, C. Lewis Montgomery, Rock, Taylor, Pierson, Barbara Judd Memorial, Ruth V. Beighley, Bryan Hopper, Southwest Conservative Baptist Women, Pastor Don Engram Honorary, Pickering and West Sedona.
Honor Awards
The Honor Award is granted each semester to students with exceptional GPAs. Students must attend two consecutive semesters of attendance before receiving Honor awards.
