Academic Search Premier

A leading, multidisciplinary database covering over 13,800 journals, including more than 12,200 peer-reviewed journals — 4,000 of which are in full text — along with 60,000 videos from the Associated Press from 1930 to the present on various topics, events, and famous people.

 

Business Source Premier

A major business research database offering the full text of more than 2,200 journals. Full text is provided back to 1965, and searchable cited references back to 1998. This database also includes company profiles, industry reports, market research reports, and SWOT analyses, along with 60,000 videos from the Associated Press from 1930 to the present on various topics, events, and famous people.

 

eBook Academic Collection

EBSCO’s eBook Academic Collection contains almost 170,000 eBooks from major academic publishers on a wide range of subjects.

 

eBook Collection

EBSCO’s eBooks database houses about 20,000 eBooks owned by the ACU Library. These eBooks are also available through the library’s online catalog.

Provides general interest periodical and news information from magazines, newspapers, reference books and multi-media sources on the humanities, education, environmental issues, technology, health care, politics and more.

 

Journal of Biblical Integration in Business (JBIB)

JBIB publishes articles discussing how a Christian worldview impacts business. Full-text articles from 1995 to about two years ago are available from the journal’s webpage. The journal can be searched through Google Scholar’s Advanced Scholar Search feature. To access that feature, click on the downward arrow at the end of the search box in Google Scholar; then enter “Journal of Biblical Integration in Business” in the “Return articles published in” box; and then enter your search terms in the other box(es) under “Find articles.”

 

Journal of Markets & Morality

Journal of Markets & Morality is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion & Liberty. The journal promotes intellectual exploration of the relationship between economics and morality from both social science and theological perspectives. Journal content can be searched from its website.

 

JSTOR

JSTOR is a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources. Search JSTOR for past issues of important journals. The ACU Library subscribes to the following full-text JSTOR collections: Arts & Sciences I, Arts & Sciences II, and Religion & Theology.

 

Opposing Viewpoints in Context

Coverage in this database includes current social issues, from offshore drilling to climate change, health care to immigration. This database includes over more than 14,000 pro/con viewpoint essays, 5,000 topic overviews, more than 300 primary source documents, 300 biographies of social activists and reformers, more than 775 court-case overviews, 5 million periodical articles and nearly 6,000 statistical tables, charts and graphs.

 

Regional Business News

With daily updates, Regional Business News provides comprehensive full text for regional U.S. and Canadian business publications (including titles from Crain Communications). Regional Business News has full text for more than 100 sources.
