Open Positions at ACU
Admissions Advisor
This is a 12 month, fulltime position beginning 06/24/13. The advisor reports to the Director of Admissions or his designee. This position is responsible for recruitment, enrollment, and advising of new students for Arizona Christian University. The advisor will recruit through the following channels: high schools, community colleges, alumni connections, college fairs, home school families, churches, and in other venues. The position will work directly in the day-to-day operations of the office and in activities necessary to achieve the university’s strategic objectives. This position will require a significant amount of travel, both in Arizona and nationwide.
The candidate should be energetic, a self-starter, strategic thinker and comfortable speaking to diverse audiences about Arizona Christian University as a whole. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be a good communicator through various mediums. The applicant should be comfortable representing ACU at events in the evenings and on weekends.

Vice President of Student Services
Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking to fill the full-time position of Vice President of Student Services. In support of the University's academic mission, the Vice President of Student Services oversees a variety of services and programs relating to the students' co-curricular experience. Included in this area are the Residence Life office, the Student Life office, the Spiritual Life office, as well as Disability Services, and the Academic Center. The Vice President of Student Services and the Director of Residence Life advise the student judicial process. The Vice President for Student Services works closely with the administrative staff from these areas to facilitate a variety of programs, services and leadership opportunities that support and complement students' academic experience.
The successful candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Christian Studies, Leadership or related field. Doctoral Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Christian Studies, or related field preferred. Must have minimum 5+ years of experience supervising, leading, and training other staff members in a university environment. Knowledge of current trends, policies, and processes in Higher Education. Must exhibit a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and be in agreement with the Christian mission of Arizona Christian University. Excellent organizational, planning, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.

Adjunct Faculty, Music Department
Arizona Christian University's Music Department seeks applications from adjunct faculty candidates to teach applied voice lessons in the Fall and Spring Semesters of the 2013 - 2014 academic year. Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Vocal Performance and/or Pedagogy. Ability to teach classical, contemporary and Broadway styles is preferred. This is a 10 month(August – May), 25 hour a week position beginning 9/1/2013. Reporting to the Academic Dean or designee. This position is responsible for answering telephones; meeting and greeting students and visitors; creating and modifying documents using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; performing general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing; maintaining hard copy and electronic filing systems; researching, pricing and purchasing office and teaching supplies; coordinating and maintaining records for adjunct faculty contracts and communication; setting up and coordinating meetings and conferences; recording and distributing meeting minutes; supporting faculty in assessment and assigned project based work, as well as other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must have at least 5 years previous Administrative Assistant experience in an academic setting; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; must be highly organized and detail oriented; have demonstrated the ability to work independently in a diverse learning environment; and possess excellent communication skills as required to accommodate written and verbal responsibilities.

Vice President for Institutional Advancement
ACU seeks an experienced, energetic, innovative Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The vice president will actively oversee all fund raising efforts of the university, and will initiate, develop, implement and assess various institutional fund raising programs and events in support of institutional goals.
Reporting directly to and working closely with the ACU President, the vice president will organize, recruit and train an advancement team and oversee the school’s first capital campaign. The vice president should be an experienced major gift officer with 5-plus years of direct major gift solicitation experience, preferably in Christian higher education. The vice president must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree and be comfortable interacting with the scholarly community.
The vice president must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly relational and have the ability to interact with donors and prospects of all ages. The vice president should also be highly organized, a goal-oriented self-starter, a strategic and innovative thinker, and a team player who is familiar with computerized donor tracking.
