Staff and Administration Positions

Psychology Assistant Professor

The Psychology Program within the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Arizona Christian University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Psychology position. The Psychology degree program is built on the APA Guidelines for Undergraduate Psychology Majors, framed with a biblical worldview.

This full-time position requires a Ph.D. in psychology, demonstrated ability to mentor original research, to teach statistics, research methods, introduction to neuroscience, cognitive psychology, learning and motivation, and general psychology. At least three years of teaching experience in an accredited higher education institution is required. The ideal candidate will specialize in experimental psychology and have recent research experience.  Click here for a detailed job description.

Fall 2015 - English Composition Adjunct

Arizona Christian University seeks applications from adjunct faculty candidates able to teach English Composition courses in the university’s liberal arts core curriculum.  The university also seeks qualified candidates who can teach Composition and Grammar at the remedial level.  We are especially interested in applicants who can teach morning/early afternoon classes (before 1:30 pm).  Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree or above in English (or related discipline) and possess teaching experience at the college level.  Faculty are expected to share their Christian faith with students and integrate it into their classes. Fall 2015 - Journalism Adjunct

Arizona Christian University seeks applications from adjunct faculty candidates for a variety of journalism courses (Introduction to Journalism, Reporting, Public Relations).  We are especially interested in applicants with flexible schedules who can teach morning, afternoon, or evening classes.  Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree or above in journalism and possess teaching experience at the college level.  Professional experience is also desirable.  Faculty are expected to share their Christian faith with students and integrate it into their classes. Fall 2015 - Biology & Science Adjunct

Arizona Christian University seeks applications from adjunct faculty candidates for a variety of biology/science courses (Introductory Biology, Introduction to Science, upper level biology).  We are especially interested in applicants with flexible schedules who can teach morning, afternoon, or evening classes.  Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree or above in science/biology and possess teaching experience at the college level.  Instructors should have experience leading laboratory sessions. Fall 2015 - Mathematics

Arizona Christian University seeks applications from adjunct faculty candidates for a variety of math-related courses (College Algebra, Statistics, math for computer applications).  We are especially interested in applicants with flexible schedules who can teach morning, afternoon, or evening classes.  Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree or above in Mathematics and possess teaching experience at the college level. Faculty are expected to share their Christian faith with students and integrate it into their classes. Fall 2015 - Public Policy and the Family - Adjunct

The Family Studies and Political Science programs at Arizona Christian University are seeking adjunct faculty applicants to teach a cross-listed course: Public Policy and the Family. The course contributes to the National Council on Family Relations requirements for certification of Family Studies program graduates as Certified Family Life Educators. The position requires a minimum of a Master’s degree and experience in the area of family law and public policy. The ideal candidate will possess teaching experience at the college level. Faculty are expected to share their Christian faith with students and integrate it into their classes. Fall 2015 – Criminal Justice Courses - Adjunct Faculty

The ACU Department of Government, History, and Philosophy is seeking applications for adjunct faculty candidates in the Criminal Justice emphasis in the Political Science major. Courses on the schedule for the Fall 2015 semester include: CRJ 210: Introduction to Criminal Justice; CRJ 280: Criminology; CRJ 310: Criminal Law and Procedures; CRJ 330: Homeland Security. All courses are three credit hours and are scheduled as MWF or TTH morning classes.

 

An advanced degree is preferred, but experience may be substituted. Experience must entail at least 8 years of experience in an active law enforcement assignment as a certified officer. Adjunct faculty instructors are expected to integrate their Christian faith into their classes.
